Beach to lake

So we just picked up our ride from the rental cars Auckland depot and we are about to get on the road and head up to the Bay of Islands. Some friends of ours who are from NZ suggested that we head up there first as it is meant to be a really beautiful area with lots of nice beaches. We will be spending four days up there before we head south to a place called Taupo. Again our friends recommended it to us as they know we are both keen on our fishing and boating and apparently the lake there is amazing, it’s the size of Singapore with some of the best trout fishing in the world, can’t wait to get there.
