Send a Thank You Letter After a Job Interview

I recently was interviewed for a job at the best architectural firm in the city, and I knew that I would have to stand out from the hundreds of other applicants if I wanted a shot at the job. The interview went very well, and I made sure to send one of the best thank you letters that I’d ever written to the interviewer. He called me the following week to tell me that the position had been filled, but he offered me a comparable position in another department. He said that I had what it took to do the job right, and he appreciated my thoughtfulness.
