Divorce

By admin | September 4, 2010

When going through a divorce it is important to have an understanding of where things went wrong. divorce is seen as a unfortunate and emotional time anyway, and passing the buck to your ex partner for everything that went wrong will make you bitter and make the divorce proceedings more complicated and time consuming.

Hence, it is, in your best interests, to place this bitterness aside and make an attempt to amicably straighten out personal and financial concerns between yourselves. Over time you are likely to, being a couple, have accumulated numerous assets and perhaps financial debt. Every one of these issues will have to be addressed, as will child custody and maintenance if necessary.

If your relationship, between you and your ex, is extremely hostile then ask close friends or family to act as a ‘go between’. Remember the more you sort out between yourselves the less will have to be aired in a family court.
