Filter Systems in Your Aquarium
By admin | January 12, 2010
As with all things, aquarium equipment will also show signs of wear and tear due to everyday use. For example, if you have a highly populated aquarium, you will need to feed your fish often and feed them a lot. The aquarium equipment which is mostly affected will be the filter system of your aquarium. If the filter system goes down, you could be looking at a dead aquarium. You should always check your aquarium every day and on a regular basis. Maintaining the equipment is going to take some time but with proper positioning of your aquarium equipment, you will have a smooth cleaning procedure. Get the habit of looking at your fish carefully as they can be a good indicator of how clean your tank is. Also include regular checking of the water temperature. Clean the inside and the outside part of the glass at least once a week to remove clinging dirt from them. Maintenance is important if you want your tank to stay “alive”.
