I don’t think most Americans get it; if food and cooking recipes is 50% of your income and the cost of food goes up 10% it is a really big deal; if the cost of food is 5% if your income is food and it goes up 10% it is not such a big deal.
Countries with the highest unemployment rates also tend to be countries in which food is a bigger part of their budget.
The median age of poor countries tends to be much lower then the median age of developed countries.
Many younger people in developing countries find that no job means no marriage, stuck living with family and no purpose in life. Some are filling their empty void at their local mosque.
The greater the wealth disparity the greater the force needed to contain economic instability.
